In the heart of Jerusalem, at the site sacred to the Jewish people, wooden beams – some dating back to the First and Second Temple periods, and others from later historical periods – lie in disgrace.

These beams, among the last remnants of our heritage on the Temple Mount, face various dangers, primarily the fact that they are left outside and exposed to weather damage. The beams are crumbling and rotting.

The Muslim Waqf has already proven that it will do everything to destroy and demolish anything connected to Jewish heritage on the Temple Mount.

In the past year, there has been another significant increase in the number of people ascending the Temple Mount! But what about the State of Israel – when will the State of Israel take responsibility for the holiest site to the Jewish people?

In recent years, we have done a great deal to preserve the heritage on the Temple Mount: In Passover 5782 (2022), we ensured that the Antiquities Authority addressed the damage caused by rioters to antiquities on the Eastern Path, we petitioned the Supreme Court against the dumping of garbage at the Temple site, and we produced professional reports – but it’s not enough:
